Vision Statement
The State of Hawaii Department of Education (DOE) Athletic Health Care Trainers (AHCT) shall provide injury prevention, recognition, evaluation, injury or illness referral, follow-up evaluation, reconditioning, education and counseling of high school students and student athletes. The AHCT and the DOE are committed to leading the nation in providing excellence in sports medicine to our public high school studnets.

Mission Statement
The AHCT provides comprehensive health care to students participating in school based athletic activities. The function of the AHCT is to direct and administer an athletic health care program encompassing prevention, recognition, management, and rehabilitation of injuries while educating the athletic community.

The philosophy of the organization (AHCT) is to emphasize the health and well-being of student athletes by acting as a liaison between coaches, parents, administrators and physicians. The organization (AHCT) provides advanced emergency care and a comprehensive rehabilitation program for the student athlete. The AHCT should be able to significantly reduce the risk of athletic injuries and enable student athletes a safer return to activities.

To improve the standard of care for the student athletes, the organization (AHCT) will provide professional development to its' members through workshops, symposiums and lectures. The AHCT strives to be an organization of recognized excellence by maximizing resources and contributing to the quality of care for student athletes in Hawaii.
